The mission of LTC Empowerment Group, LLC is to provide behavior-changing education and services in healthcare with clarity and ease.
Embedded in the company’s name is the word “empowerment” which off the bat recognizes the capabilities and authority of its client and owns the responsibility to tweak these characteristics thereby enabling the solving of problems by providing the right tools and resources, informing through education and ushering accountability. LTC Empowerment Group’s founder and president, Velma Haye, DNP, MA, RN-BC, LNHA, CCM, RAC-CT, has been involved in nursing education and staff development for her entire career. With over 20 years of dedication within the healthcare industry, Dr. Haye developed a series of systems based on her distinct expertise and experience. Passionate about identifying areas of need and developing educational programs that promote, maintain, and improve the quality of life for all patients/residents, Dr. Haye supports staff by teaching continuing education classes that result in successful staff completion. Of equal importance, Dr. Haye knows what is required to ensure the maintenance of high regulatory’s standards needed to sustain a facility’s 5-Star Rating through the provision of excellent care, rehabilitation services, customer service, accurate documentation, and risk management.

Have you ever felt in your gut that you were mistreated, marginalized, alone, sabotaged? Your feelings may be unveiling adversity. Adversity can be a show-stopper that negatively impacts one’s outlook on life and self-confidence. It is a given fact that individuals succumb to the pressures of adversity due to a lack of guidance on how to positively respond mentally or spiritually. Like Crabs in a Barrel helps to expose some avenues of adversity and provides guidance on how to handle adversities that you might meet in the workplace, community, or home so that you can overcome.
Adversity takes many forms and usually rears its head when you are perceived to be progressing or having the potential to progress. Hence, the cliché that speaks to it being lonely at the top. We often perceive adversity to be bold and loud, but many kinds of adversity are covert. Many times, the ones closest to you are the leaders in this war. The ones that have nothing to say are saying a lot. Body language speaks loudly, and you must listen to it.
